By Elizabeth Villa

One habit that I rarely go without is my nighttime routine. It signals to my body and brain that it’s time to slow down, decompress my day, and get some rest. Not only do nightly routines feel very adult, the benefits to your health and sleep are plentiful. And if there’s one part of my personal wellness that I’m committed to, it’s sleep.

Our friends at Moonlit are on the same page. Moonlit is devoted to overnight skincare and sleep wellness and we love them for it. They make products that fit into your nighttime routine helping you rest and rejuvenate.

1. Slumber Bath Salts

Soak it up! At the end of a stressful day, purify your body with Slumber Bath Salts. Boasting soothing essential oils such as lavender, frankincense and geranium, turn your tub time into a tension-easing treat.

They’re great for those with:

  • Stress and tensions

  • Sore muscles

  • Dry skin

  • Anxiety, restlessness

How To Use Them:

Dissolve a small palmful of Moonlit Slumber Salts under warm running water for an indulgent, tension-melting bedtime bath.

2. Power Down Powder 2-in-1 Mask

Moonlit’s Power Down Powder 2-in-1 is packed with a blend of powerhouse ingredients including crushed moringa leaves, aloe vera powder, kaolin clay, and dried cucumber peel powder. Powder Down Powder’s earthy scent makes it the perfect face mask to pair with your evening bath.

How To Use as a Detox Face Mask:

  • Scoop out ½ tsp. of Powder Down Powder.

  • Add water. Or you can get creative and use honey and/or yogurt!

  • Blend to desired consistency using the Moonlit masking brush.

  • Apply to skin and allow it to set until dry. The mask will turn white when it's ready to be rinsed.

  • Gently rinse with water.

How to Use for Overnight Spot Treatment:

  • Take a pinch of Powder Down Powder in your palm.

  • Add a small dash of water and blend to a thick paste.

  • Dab gently on the blemished area.

  • Let it dry overnight and rest easy.

  • Rinse with water when you wake up.

Hot Tip:

The thinner the consistency, the quicker it dries! Bonus: Mix with your favorite cleanser to exfoliate skin.

3. Midnight Shift Overnight Facial Oil

We start to get sleepy around 9PM-11PM, when our body's natural melatonin kicks in. That paired with Midnight Shift Overnight Facial Oil’s calming lavender scent aids in reducing tension and decreasing heart rate.

Apply it before bed and this facial oil will work through the night to moisturize, plump, soften, and smooth uneven skin tone with a powerful combination of jojoba and sunflower oils. Ginseng and papaya help fuel skin cell turnover, while grapeseed oil delivers a firming collagen boost. Add in the calming lavender scent and you're in for a peaceful and rejuvenating sleep!

How To Use It:

Warm up a dime-sized amount in your palms, then gently press into cleansed face and neck before bedtime. Allow the scent of lavender to whisk you off to slumberland. Wake up with smooth, plump, and refined skin. Use nightly.

4. Cloud 9 Silk Pillowcase

Silk pillowcases are better for your skin (and hair!) because the material glides easily and prevents creasing and wrinkles in skin, and fall-out, snags, and breakage in hair.

Benefits:

  • Supporting clean skin

  • Healthier, shinier hair (preserves your blowout for an additional 2 days)

  • Alleviates hair breakage, frizziness

  • Helps create a welcome space for your nightly slumber

  • Hypoallergenic, dust mite-resistant, all-natural material

5. Blackout Sleeping Eye Mask

Ensure uninterrupted sleep with the Blackout Sleeping Eye Mask. Interior pitch-black paneling blocks out distracting light to ensure you get a good night's rest.

When your brain senses pure darkness, your body ups the natural production of melatonin, the chemical of sleep.

Best For:

  • All skin types

  • Sensitive skin

  • Aging skin

  • Cat-nappers

  • Travelers

  • New mothers

  • Power nappers

  • Side-sleepers
